Screening
- We begin with a screening process to understand your difficulties and expectations.
- If we feel that we are unable to provide the help you need, we will signpost you to a more appropriate service.
Assessment - Gathering information
- Our support staff will assist you in providing relevant information about your past treatments and medical history.
- You may also be asked to complete questionnaires to help us gain a clearer understanding of your challenges.
Psychiatric Consultation and Treatment
- You will be given an appointment with a psychiatrist within two weeks of completing the screening process.
- The consultation will last 30 to 45 minutes.
- During the session, the psychiatrist will:
- o Provide a diagnosis.
- o Outline a brief treatment plan tailored to your needs.
- o Issue a private prescription, if required.
- o Recommend additional therapies (e.g., psychological therapy) if appropriate.
